Worship Services
Sunday worship at Unity Church is a cornerstone of our religious community. It is where we envision and create a new reality for a better world and it allows us to come together for community and deepen our individual spirit. During the church year, September 8, 2024-May 19, 2025, in-person services are held at 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. The 9:00 a.m. service is also offered by livestream.
Visiting with kids?
We're delighted and invite you to find more details about how we will warmly welcome your family.
Coffee Hour
If you are joining us in-person, we invite you to visit the Parish Hall after services for refreshments and fellowship. Those joining us online are invited to Zoom coffee hour after the livestream. Please email Philippa Anastos at [email protected] for the link to join each Sunday when the service livestream ends.
How do people dress for church?
People dress as they are comfortable for church. For some that means Sunday best, for others it means jeans. Many people dress in business casual clothes for church. Please come in clothes that make you comfortable.

Our building is accessible to people of varying abilities.

Sunday Liturgy
Our Worship services follow an established liturgy. Every month we have a different theological theme that we follow through our worship and programming. Every Sunday focuses on a different aspect of that theme.

- We have readings from a wide variety of wise and sacred texts, including poetry, works of fiction and non-fiction, and occasionally religious texts such as the Bible and the Qur’an.
- We sing hymns from the Unitarian Universalist hymnal, Singing the Living Tradition and other sources.
- Our ministers offer prayers, addressed to the speaker’s understanding of the sacred: Holy One; Source of Radiance and Reason; Spirit of Life, Love, and the Holy; and others.
- Our Minister of Faith Formation, KP Hong, offers a story for all ages.
- We collect an offering, the large majority of which goes out the door to support an organization that shares our values.
- Our ministers preach a sermon related to the monthly theological theme.
- Trained lay leaders known as worship associates help the preaching minister develop the service and participate in leading it.
- Woven throughout the service is transcendent music, from one or more of our multiple choirs or from guest musicians from multiple genres including classical, jazz, folk, and international.
