J. J. Hill and Obama School

The Obama School Ministry Team serves the scholars and staff at the elementary school located directly across the street from Unity Church. Obama School is currently closed for renovations this outreach ministry team is supporting J.J. Hill until Obama reopens in 2025. Join Us at JJ Hill this Fall

The school year is off to a great start. Several of our volunteers attended the staff orientation session in September and were warmly welcomed by the school staff. We are thrilled that we have enough volunteers this fall to meet all of the teachers’ requests for assistance. There are seventeen Unity volunteers this year, with 11 returning from last year and six more who are either new to volunteering or returning after more than a year. Some are working in classrooms and some assisting with books in the library.

Thanks to all of you for your generous contributions to the September offering that will benefit the school. Please continue to watch the progress this fall as the renovation continues at the Obama School building across the street from the church. We’ll be eager to welcome the children and staff from JJ Hill next fall, as they move from their current building into Obama School.
