The Obama School Ministry Team serves the scholars and staff at the elementary school located directly across the street from Unity Church. Vision and Purpose for the Obama School Team
Our four goals detail our vision and purpose and how we hope to make a difference:

1. Enhance the learning of Obama scholars.
2. Support the faculty and staff at the school, in coordination with the PTO.
3. Aid the school community as it transitions and is established in the Unity Church neighborhood.
   
4. Create and maintain a leadership team that supports positive volunteer experiences at the school.

Team News

As the new year begins, we send our appreciation to this congregation and all you have done to support the work of nearly 40 Unity volunteers at Obama Montessori Elementary and Obama Middle School in 2025. Now that our relationship with the school community is well established, more and different requests for assistance are coming our way. Stay tuned through the winter and spring for news about connecting to our work!

The Obama School Team would like to find a classroom volunteer for the Science Specialist for the elementary-age students. Help is needed weekdays during any of three periods between 10:20 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. Interested or know of someone who might be? Email [email protected].
