Who We Are

Unity Church - Unitarian is an intergenerational congregation of about 1100 adults and 450 children located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. We strive for a deeply meaningful, transforming liberal religious experience, finding hope, beauty, and inspiration in our worship.  Our worship on Sundays consist of three services: 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. and--new this year--4:30 p.m. (There is only one 10:00 a.m. service during the summer.) We invite you to learn more about our mission and ends statements.

We are a community of communities. We are a welcoming and diverse congregation with many opportunities to connect with others, both within and outside the church. Within the church, there are many fellowship groups where members can connect with others who share similar interest or a desire for broader and deeper fellowship. Our Covenant Groups provide a small-group means to connect on a spiritual level beyond Sunday services with others from the church community.

Our Community Outreach Programs allows our members to live out their liberal religious values in the world. Our nine community outreach teams engage in service, education, and advocacy to the larger community. These programs provide a catalyst for positive personal change as well as change in our local community and the world.

Unity Church has innovative lifelong religious education programs for both children and youth and adults, providing opportunities for spiritual development. Our music program is integrated into the life of the church. We also reach out to young adults ages 18 -35 both through our Young Adult Group and work on local college campuses.

Unity Church also holds Wellspring Wednesdays, a mid-week gathering for dinner, a short worship, classes, workshops, and fellowship every Wednesday evening. Dinner begins at 6:00; worship, at 6:45; and workshops and classes, about 7:10. Opportunities for fellowship occur all evening long.

Unity Church respects and celebrates its heritage. Our church history dates back over 130 years. The traditions of our church and Unitarian Universalism are important to us. We generously support our church and its efforts by donating our time and talents and by giving our fair share financially.

We welcome you to join with us in worship and community.

May peace dwell within our hearts,
And understanding in our minds;
May courage steel our wills,
And the love of truth forever guide us.

Minister of Unity Church, 1945-1970
