Vision and Purpose for the Obama School Team
Our four goals detail our vision and purpose and how we hope to make a difference:
  1. Enhance the learning of Obama scholars.
  2. Support the faculty and staff at the school, in coordination with the PTO.
  3. Aid the school community as it transitions and is established in the Unity Church neighborhood.
  4. Create and maintain a leadership team that supports positive volunteer experiences at the school.

Team News

The year at Obama Elementary Montessori and Middle School got off to a good start with the addition of a seventh grade level in the middle school, doubling their population from last year when they started with just a sixth grade. The Obama Elementary Montessori School is full of enthusiastic learners. Thirty-six Unity Church members and friends are signed up to volunteer in the schools, going across the street at least weekly to assist in classrooms, shelve books in the library, and deliver food packs to students on Fridays. Our help is much appreciated!

Many thanks to all who have supported the work we’re doing with the schools. We're grateful, too, for those who contributed to the Sunday offering on September 27, the financial support helps meet the needs of the growing population of the school. And, finally, thanks to all our volunteers, whose kindness and commitment to the students means so much!
