Pathway to Membership at Unity Church-Unitarian

If you’ve been worshipping with us for a while and are interested in learning more about who we are and what we believe, you’re invited to take our “Welcome to Unity” class. This eighty-minute class is a basic overview of Unitarian Universalism and the church.

“Welcome to Unity” is the prerequisite to “Exploring Unity/Finding Yourself at Unity,” which is offered in two formats: as a full day class and as a three-week series.  This class deepens the exploration of Unitarian Universalist history, as well as the particular history of Unity Church. Participants meet the ministers and staff of Unity Church and have the chance to share and reflect on their own religious journeys and the intersection of spiritual growth and social justice in their lives. Finally, participants learn about the expectations of membership as well as various opportunities for deeper involvement at Unity.

For those who are ready for the commitment of membership, we offer a third and final class, “Committing to Unity.” This class explores meaning of membership and invites participants to reflect on the gifts and talents they hope to share with this faith community. This class ends with a celebration as participants make the significant decision to sign our membership book.
