Ministry with Children and Youth (MCY)Welcome!
At Unity Church-Unitarian, we strive to help our children, youth and their families live lives of integrity, service and joy. Through our Sunday morning Religious Education programs and our rich landscape of fellowship opportunities, we seek to cultivate in our children both a love of the liberal religious life and a sense of belonging in our Beloved Community. Thinking of visiting Unity Church with children? We're looking forward to your joining us on Sundays! Many rich opportunities are available for children and youth at all three services - 9:00, 11:00 and 4:30. If you have an infant or toddler ages 6 months to 3 years, please take advantage of our nursery care, available free of charge in the lower level of the church. If you have school-aged children, we have a landscape of rich Religious Education programming for families. On the first Sunday that your family visits, please ask a Welcome Team member to accompany you to the Welcome Table in the Parish Hall. There you will be met by a Unity family who will orient you to the Religious Education program and spaces. We ask that parents remain with their children for the duration of your family's first visit to Unity; visiting the Sunday School class with your child provides and opportunity for you to witness our volunteers and curriculum in action. If you and your child(ren) enjoy your time at Unity Church and you'd like to register for regular participation in Sunday School, please attend a New Family Orientation session. If you'd like to visit Unity prior to your visit or if you have questions about our Sunday morning programs, please e-mail Kerri Meyer, the Director of Religious Education, at kerri@unityunitarian.org or call her at 651-228-1456 x104. |
