Releasing Your Collective Values and Vision
Workshop Description:
The ideal transition to PG in a faith-based organization first takes time to connect to your stakeholders’ common values and vision. Unity Consulting offers Releasing Your Collective Values and Vision to help you do that, a workshop based on the strengths-based Appreciative Inquiry (AI) approach to organizational change. This workshop contains three parts:
- Demonstration of the data-gathering values and vision workshop
- Train-the-trainer for how to conduct these sessions with the larger congregation or organization.
That way, participants in this workshop both experience the values and vision workshop themselves and contribute their data to the process, and they learn how to facilitate sessions of it with the larger congregation/organization.
At the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Explain the fundamentals of the AI approach and how it is ideally suited to collecting information about stakeholder’s common values and vision for the future.
- Facilitate AI-based workshops with small groups within your congregation or organization to gather values and vision data in a unique, inviting, and empowering way.
- Identify how to use the values and vision workshop data after you collect it.
Who should attend?
Your Board and your workshop facilitators should participate in the values and vision workshop demonstration piece.
Your workshop facilitators, plus the Board committee responsible for the values and vision work in your organization, should attend the train-the-trainer piece. Your executive team may wish to attend the start of this piece as well, to learn the philosophy behind it.
Prerequisites:
A congregation or organization completely committed to PG, as reflected in a Board resolution to adopt it.
Facilitators should have solid group facilitation skills.

$1750 for one facilitator, plus costs.
